I currently have a USB modem to broadband. I bought a wireless router, the Ethernet ports. Currently, the modem in my downstairs computer which is connected with Windows 98, so it will bridge the connection to my computer upstairs (XP). I can not upgrade to XP because a family member "risk" is used.
Can I use the USB modem broadband that is, to my wireless router with a selection of cables to USB Ethernet adapters difficult to find (I can not to a USB portFor Ethernet). If this is not possible if I connect the USB modem to my XP computer, I can bridge to connect my computer with Win 98 XP machine as a host?

I think that it is not their current Ethernet to USB, but USB to Ethernet. I see no reason why you should be able to connect the USB modem to the XP computer and use it as a bridge to the computer 98.
Of course it would be nice to have an all-in-one, but you can reach your goalwith this device. You can not convert to the USB adapter cable into the Ethernet modem. USB drivers need to use Ethernet connections, and do not provide these drivers for the device.
